I, Henry Tibbits, master of City of London do solemnly, sincerely, and truly swear that the following List or Manifest, subscribed by me, and now delivered by me to the Collector of the Customs of the Collection District of New York, is a full and perfect List of all the Passengers taken on board the said Str at Liverpool from which port the said Str has now arrived; and that on said List is truly designated the age, the sex, and the occupation of each of said Passengers, the part of the vessel occupied by each during the passage, the country to which each belongs, and also the country of which it is intended by each to become an Inhabitant; and that said List or Manifest truly sets forth the number of said passengers who have died on said voyage, and the names and ages of those who died.

The "^" in a name indicates that the following letters are elevated.
Passenger # 11 - Name obscured by wear on the fold of the page. Because of
its location on the list the name is probably "Flum", the
same as the following names.
Passengers # 18 & 19 - Name has ripple in third and fourth letters. First
letters may be a fancy "M" as in "Mincal", however, there
are no other examples. Last letter is interfered with by
the "y" of the name above.
Passenger # 21 - Fourth letter could be "t" or "b" or "l".
Passengers # 24 & 25 - Ripple in names make last letters suspect.
Passenger # 31 - First name has spot spoiling letters, Last name has ripple
making ending unreadible.
Passenter #123 - Died on the voyage.
Passenger #225 - First name could end in "t".

This family consists of the Great-Grandparents of the transcriber and 4 of
their children. For further information contact Alden E. Hook
Additional information:
There are a total of 1,137 passengers. According to their marked sex,
there are 459 females, 674 males, 1 each Inft, Spinst, & Wife. The infant
has a male name so I would believe that there are 461 females and 676 males.
There were a total of 24 occupations listed. The most numerous
occupations were Spinster - 230; Laborer - 207; Wife - 136; Child 126; &
Miner - 102, which was my great-grandfather's listed occupation. There
were 40 infants.
The ages of the passengers went from 1 to 62 with only 61 not being
there, however I was unable to read 4 peoples ages. The most numerous age
was 20 and 24 with 96 passengers each; 21 with 92 passengers; & 22 with 79.
There are 643 different last name spellings (including unreadible) plus
the Captain. In the four listings, 6 names appear in all four, and they
are Doherty, which had just 4 passengers, Jackson with 8, Jones with 10,
Smith with 17, Walsh with 8, and Williams with 11.

If you find an ancestor on a ship on ISTG and would like to link to your email address or home page, please submit a short paragraph about the passenger, where settled, children, etc., with the name of the ship and date of arrival, and send to the transcriber at the bottom of the manifest or to the ISTG Production Coordinator. Be sure to include the name of the SHIP and VOLUME number.
