Therefore this column has been ommitted. Andreas Talian was born about 1859 in Austria/Hungary in a region known as Saris. Andreas, at the age of 23, came to America March 1, 1882 aboard the ship SS Helvetia into the port of Boston. He was referred to as Andreas TALN on the ships records. Maria (nee Nagy) Talian and son, Andreas Steve Talian, Jr. came to America in the year 1884 according to 1910 PA census records. They had sons Thomas (born about 1890) and Michael (born 1894) while they were located in Douglass, PA. They were in Blythdale, PA in 1898 when son Joseph John was born. They had one more son, Charles (unsure of birth location). By 1910 they are found on the PA census in Monessen. Andreas stayed there in Monessen, PA until his death in 1919. Maria died sometime between 1910 and 1919. Click here to see a picture of Andreas, Maria and the three youngest sons about the year of 1908. Some other notes of interest are that they were Roman Catholic, they were known as Slovak and the language that they spoke was Slovak. I would be happy to correspond with any others researching this family name. Sandra Hoard
