Correspondence 03/08/2003 passengers #106-111 Fuchs
I found my great great grandfather and his wife and children on the Ship Gebhard
... From Antwerp, Belgium to N. Y. City 1 Sept. 1857. His name ... Johannes Fuchs,
wife...Elizabeth Riehl Fuchs, children, George, Twins Catharina and Anna Elizabeth,
and John. They lived in Illinois, where they had one more child. The ages of the
children are a little off...they show younger than they actually were (perhaps
they had to pay by age?). Why she wasn't listed as a Fuchs, I have no idea, also
her maiden name was listed as the children's last name...strange. But the names
are right, as well as the order of the children. Colleen
