LIST OR MANIFEST OF ALIEN IMMIGRANTS FOR THE COMMISSIONER OF IMMIGRATION.
Required by the regulations of the Secretary of the Treasury of the United States, under Act of Congress, approved March 3, 1893, to be delivered to the Commissioner of Immigration by the Commanding Officer of any vessel having such passengers on board upon arrival at a port in the United States.
S.S. Gaelic, sailing from Yokohama, July 17th, 1894 arriving at Port of San Francisco, July 30, 1894.

There is no captain's statement nor captain's name attached to this manifest.
The following columns had identical entries for all passengers and so were 
not included in the table:

 Married or Single=No*
 Able to Read & Write=yes
 Nationality=japanese
 Seaport for Landing in the US=San Francisco
 By whom was passage paid?=Himself
 Whether ever in Prison, Almshouse or supported by Charity=no
 Whether a Polygamist=no
 Whether under contract to labor in the US=no
 Condition of Health Mental and Physical=good
 Whether having any deformities=no
The words "or Single" have been crossed out in the Married or Single column,
 leaving Married.
Letters that are illegible or difficult to interpret are replaced by ?.

1  Final Destination is San Francisco enroute to Mexico.  He was in Chicago 
   once 1893.
2  Final Destination is San Francisco enroute to Mexico.
5  Final Destination is San Francisco enroute to Germany.
6-14 "Having a Ticket" indicates No by ditto marks.  Since final destination
   was San Francisco it is likely this is an error.
6  Surname is Shimada or Shimoda.
9  First name is Nenokichi or Neuokichi.
14 Occupation is Consul Clerk.  His final Destination is San Francisco enroute
   to Mexico.
