Transcriber's Notes:
* The use of a ? indicates a word or letters that could not be read due to
the quality of the original document.
* The use of a ^ indicates a letter or letters that were raised in superscript
above other letters.
* All passengers were destined for U.S. America so this column was omitted.
* The final two columns on this manifest, titled Transient, or in Transit, or
intended protracted sojourn, and Date and Cause of Death were intentionally
left off. No deaths were indicated on this voyage, and the only entry for
the column Transient, or in Transit, or intended protracted sojourn was for
passenger #1 (Mrs Spice) with an entry of protracted.
* The location of Compartment or space occupied consistently list For^d Steerage.
The For^d is an abbreviation for Forward.
Passenger Notes:
* 5 Complete first name is difficult to read. All missing letters are written
above the line, and could represent the letters mer, mei, ner, or nir as in
Emmeral, Emmeial, Emneral, or Emniral.
* 7 The raised letter m in the first name is indicative of William. The letter
in question in the last name could either be u or n as in Lauma or Lanma.
* 12 The raised letter d after Rh in the first name is indicative of Richard.
* 26 The first name is probably an abbreviation of Thomas.
* 29 The last letters of the name are written above the line, and could
represent am or an as in Dickinam or Dickinan. It is possible that the
letters could be son, san, or sen as in Dickinson, Dickinsan, or Dickinsen;
however, the characters are clearly identifyable elsewhere in the manifest.
* 42 The passenger listed here has no last name indicated, or ditto (do, ") mark
to indicate what her family name is. One can make a logical assumption that
it is probably the same family name as the passenger immediately above her
on the manifest (Lane).
* 50 The raised letter t in the first name is indicative of Margaret.
* 54 The raised letter m in the first name is indicative of William.
* 94 The raised letter s in the first name is indicative of Thomas.
* 96 The letter in question in the family name could either be a a, i, or u.
The letter is clearly written above the line, and as such, could represent
the name Canta, Canti, or Cantu.
*110 The raised letter m in the first name is indicative of William.
*112 The raised letter t in the first name is indicative of Margaret. The
passenger listed here has no last name indicated, or ditto (do, ") mark to
indicate what her family name is. One can make a logical assumption that
it is probably the same family name as the passenger immediately above her
on the manifest (Smith). Generally a four year old child did not travel
alone, and if this child belongs to the Smith family, it appears that she
is a twin of Ann (passenger #111).
*115 The raised letter s in the first name is indicative of Thomas.
*116 The raised letter s in the first name is indicative of Charles.
*123 The letters in question, clearly written above the line, could represent
ar, as, or, or os. As such, the last name would be Frilar, Frilas, Frilor,
or Frilos.
*134 Written above the line, the questionable letters in this gentleman's last
name could represent the letters us, ns, or some combination of letters
resembling these. As such, the last name would be Richussen or Richnssen.
