DISTRICT OF NEW YORK - PORT OF NEW YORK
I, William Merrill, Master of Brig Era do solemnly, sincerely, and truly swear that the following List or Manifest, subscribed with my name, and now delivered by me to the Collector of the Customs for the District of New-York, contains to the best of my knowledge and belief, a just and true account of all the Passengers received on board the Brig Era whereof I am Master from St. Domingo

Sworn to this 7 Sept, 1854 So help me God.

*  there is not one listed as died on voyage so that column was eliminated     
*  numbers were added by the transcriber 

Passenger Notes: 
     
1  could be Cooguied or Goongeiut or Goonguied  
2  this entry was completely crossed out ( may not have taken the ship?)        
   and is difficult to read    
2  there is writing before the Marion apparently a middle name which    
   is unreadable       
3  could be Utrensen    
3  It is possible the first letter may be S which would make the names  
   Strenser or Strensen
