Personal Notes
Passengers 147 through 154 are ancestors of Mary Beth Arthur, a member of
the Immigrant Ships Transcribers Guild. Casimer and Wilhelmine Thom traveled
with their family to Oshkosh, Wisconsin, where they settled for at least twenty
years. In the Census of 1870 they still resided in Oshkosh. The date of this
Picture of Casimer and Wilhelmine is not known.
Their eldest daughter Emilie, or Amelia, was my great-grandmother. On June 11,
1858, she married August Ferdinand Link in the town of Nekimi, WI at the home
of Michael Linke, father of August. This Picture of August and Emilie Link was
probably taken on their wedding day.
Emilie and August had seven children, five of whom lived to adulthood. Their
sixth child, Aleda Matilda, was my grandmother. It was she they named after
the ship which brought Emilie to America.
If you are interested in this family please contact me. I will be
most happy to share information. Mary Beth Arthur
