DISTRICT OF NEW ORLEANS - PORT OF NEW ORLEANS
I, Henry Ashbey, Master or Commander of the Barque C. P Williams, do solemnly, sincerely and truly swear, that the within list, signed by me and now delivered to the Collector of this District, contains the names of all the Passengers taken on board the said Barque C. P Williams at the Port of Matagorda or at any time since, and that all matters therein set forth are, according to the best of my knowledge and belief, just and true. I do further swear, that one* of the said Passengers have died on the voyage. (Signed) Henry Ashbey. Sworn before me, this 18th day of July 1836, (unsigned) Collector.

* This ship probably sailed from Matagorda in Texas which is on the 
  Gulf of Mexico.

  #3 only the name Francis written for this passenger, presumably 
     the first name.
 #16 age possibly 8.
 #17 name looks like Pauro Bena or Berra; age could be 44; damage 
     in area.
 #18 surname looks like Phla; uncertain if the title is Mrs. or Miss.
 #19 surname something like Masenio or Masenia.
 #20 surname something like Nurmas or Nuimas or Neumas.
 #21 no surname dittoed, possibly same as previous passenger.
 #22 surname possibly spelled Dames.
 #26 perhaps the wrong origin was recorded for this passenger, as her 
     surname was the same as the previous passengers from Ireland.
 #27 perhaps the wrong origin was recorded for this passenger.
 #29-32 surname could be Carabagal or Carabayal.
 #29-42 not certain if occupation "merchant" was dittoed for these 
     passengers.
 #31 first name possibly Rufegea or Rufegeo.
 #34 surname letters transposed from the surname for #29-32; 
     written here as Caragabal or Carayabal; age could be 4 or 11.
 #36 surname spelled with H, but perhaps is the same as #56-61.
 #38 first name could be Maria Lucia; or Maria S. Luisa; 
     or Maria de Luca.
 #40 surname looks something like Esclalda or Esclarlora or Esclaladra.
 #41 surname looks something like Escaladra.
 #42 surname looks something like Hinasola.
 #44 first name could be spelled Tomaseo.
 #46 surname something like Benevidas or Benevidos.
 #47-50 surname looks something Bambadas or Banebadas, but could be 
     same name as #20.
 #48 first name could be Libertad.
 #53 first name looks like Pagila or Pagela; age 2 or 9.
 #55 first name spelled as found.
 #59 first name spelled as found.
 #64 surname something like Galinda or Salunda or Galunda or variation.
 #65-66 name could have been repeated or there could have been 2 of the 
     same name and age.
 #67-68 presumably only the first names here.  Name for #67 looks like 
     Vaulios or Vanlio. 
 #69 surname looks like Soganto or Losanto or similar.
 #70 presumably the surname was recorded first for this passenger.  
     Is possibly another de Leon family member.
 #71 age could be 20 or 25.
 #75 first name possibly Sylvester but some over-writing. 
 #76-82 surname possibly written Benevido.
 #83 first name looks like Indro, but perhaps is Isidro.
 #84 first name looks like Cagatano or Cayatano.
 #85-86 surname looks like Marcy or Maecy or Mascy.
 #87-90 presumably the same surname as #85-86, though only horizontal 
     line drawn for surname.
 #91 area for age was very dark.
