I Benjamin Sprague do solemnly, sincerely and truly Swear that the following List or Manifest of Passengers, subscribed with my name, and now delivered by me to the Collector of the Customs for the District of New-York, contains, to the best of my knowledge and belief, a just and true account of all the Passengers received on board the Cortes from London whereof I am Master, from London So help me God. ?  The use of a ? indicates a letter that could not be deciphered, due
   to the quality of the original document.

^  The use of a caret ^ indicates the following letters in that word
   are superscripted.

*  Collector of Customs (in the sworn statement): Name is 
   indecipherable. It may begin with SG and may end with the 
   abbreviation DC which probably stands for Deputy Collector.

*  There were NO deaths on this passage and the sub-columns for AGE 
   have only years listed, therefore the "Months" and "Died on the 
   Voyage" columns have been omitted.

Passenger # 1 - Occupation listed as "In his B. M. Custo??".
                Occupation: may? mean "In his Britannic Majesty's 
                Customs" particularly since he is traveling to
                Canada from England
Passenger # 6 - Middle initial may be "P" or "R"
Passenger # 7 & 8 - There is a bracket drawn after the names to
                connect these two passengers.
Passenger # 9 - The middle initial is above the name with a caret
                under the line to indicate the initial belongs to
                this passenger
Passenger #10 - Surname may be dellatorre or dellatone
Passenger #11 - Surname may be Bullau, Bullan, Bulleu or Bullen
Passenger #15 & 16 - Surname may be Brendenbach, Brendenbash, or
                Brendenbath
Passenger #17 - Surname may be Edmands
Passenger #23 - Surname may be Rarigus
Passenger #22, 23 & 24 - Occupation is written only once, but 
                bracket indicates all three passengers
Passenger #24 - Surname may be Bollimukle
Passenger #29 & 30 - Occupation is written only once, but bracket
                indicates both passengers 
Passenger #30 - Surname is probably Hile or Hill
Passenger #31-38 - Occupation is written only after #31, but there
                is a bracket which indicates all passengers #31-38
