LIST OR MANIFEST OF ALIEN IMMIGRANTS FOR THE COMMISSIONER OF IMMIGRATION.
Required by the regulations of the Secretary of the Treasury of the United States, under Act of Congress, approved March 3, 1893, to be delivered to the Commissioner of Immigration by the Commanding Officer of any vessel having such passengers on board upon arrival at a port in the United States.
S.S. Coptic, sailing from Yokohama June 7th, 1895 arriving at Port of San Francisco, June 24, 1895.

Transcriber's Notes:
There is no captain's statement nor captain's name attached to this manifest.
In the heading of the Married or Single column, "or Single" has been crossed out.
The following columns had identical entries for all passengers and so were not 
included in the table:
 Able to Read & Write=yes 
 Seaport for Landing in the US=San Francisco  
 Whether having a ticket to final destination= yes (except 1, 2, 16, 17)
 Whether going to join Relative or Friend=No
 Whether ever in Prison, Almshouse or supported by Charity=no
 Whether a Polygamist=no
 Whether under contract to labor in the US=no
 Condition of Health Mental and Physical=good
 Whether having any deformities=no 
Letters that are illegible or difficult to interpret are replaced by ?.

Passenger Notes:
1  It appears that the first and last names of this passenger may have been 
   reversed.  He has no ticket to final destination.
2  has no ticket to final destination.
5  has been to San Francisco once 1893.  He has no ticket to final destination.
7  surname is Uchigama or Uchiyama.
8  has been to San Francisco 4 times, last time April, 1894.
13 is listed merely as "and wife" on line 12.
14 occupation is "wife of Mrs. Fuku."  Manifest clearly says Mrs. but must 
   mean Mr.
15 occupation is personal servant of Mr J M McDonough.  Passage was paid by
   Mr Mc Donough.
16 has no ticket to final destination.
17 has been to New York.  He has no ticket to final destination.
