LIST OR MANIFEST OF ALIEN IMMIGRANTS FOR THE COMMISSIONER OF IMMIGRATION.
Required by the regulations of the Secretary of the Treasury of the United States, under Act of Congress, approved March 3, 1893, to be delivered to the Commissioner of Immigration by the Commanding Officer of any vessel having such passengers on board upon arrival at a port in the United States.
S.S. China, sailing from Yokohama Dec 7th, 1895 arriving at Port of San Francisco, Dec 24, 1895.

There is no captain's statement nor captain's name attached to this manifest.

In the Married or Single column "or Single" has been crossed out.

The following columns had identical entries for all passengers and so were 
not included in the table:

 Seaport for Landing in the US=San Francisco
 Whether having a ticket to final destination=Yes
 Whether going to join Relative or Friend=No
 Whether ever in Prison, Almshouse or supported by Charity=no
 Whether a Polygamist=no
 Whether under contract to labor in the US=no
 Condition of Health Mental and Physical=good
 Whether having any deformities=no

Letters that are illegible or difficult to interpret are replaced by ?.

Passenger Notes:
 9 has been to San Francisco 1892.
13 has been to San Francisco once 1895.
18 has been to San Francisco 1895.
19 This passenger appears twice on the list.  Her name is entered on line 19 
   and crossed out and entered again on line 21.  There is a note below "7th 
   December 1895: At the last moment the above passenger Takeda Hira was found
   to be on board and was examined.  W.W.W. Ivor, Consul General."  Her
   occupation is "servant Mrs Woodhull" on line 19 and "servant under employ." 
   on line 21.  Her Final Destination is Del Mar Cala.  Beneath the line it
   says "with Mrs Woodhull."
