LIST OR MANIFEST OF ALIEN IMMIGRANTS FOR THE COMMISSIONER OF IMMIGRATION.
Required by the regulations of the Secretary of the Treasury of the United States, under Act of Congress, approved March 3, 1893, to be delivered to the Commissioner of Immigration by the Commanding Officer of any vessel having such passengers on board upon arrival at a port in the United States.
S.S. China, sailing from Yokohama Dec 21st, 1894 arriving at Port of San Francisco, Jan 6, 1895.

There is no captain's statement nor captain's name attached to this manifest.
The "or Single" has been crossed out of the Married or Single column.
The following columns had identical entries for all passengers and so were not
included in the table:

 Whether in Possession of Money-if less than $30, how much?=yes
 Whether going to join Relative or Friend=No
 Whether ever in Prison, Almshouse or supported by Charity=no
 Whether a Polygamist=no
 Whether under contract to labor in the US=no
 Condition of Health Mental and Physical=good
 Whether having any deformities=no 
Letters that are illegible or difficult to interpret are replaced by ?.

 1   has been to the US 5 years ago enroute from London.
 3,4 surname is Poioirs, Pocoirs, or Pocoers.
 5   has been to the US several times last time 1894 New York.
11   sex is recorded by ditto marks as male.  This is probably an error.  Her 
     passage was paid by Mrs. R.S. Hall.  Her money is in possession of Mrs Hall.
12   has been to the US once 1894 left San Francisco Oct 16th.
16   money is in possession of Mrs. Hall. In Final Destination Portland has been
     crossed out and New York written above it.
