LIST OR MANIFEST OF ALIEN IMMIGRANTS FOR THE COMMISSIONER OF IMMIGRATION.
Required by the regulations of the Secretary of the Treasury of the United States, under Act of Congress, approved March 3, 1893, to be delivered to the Commissioner of Immigration by the Commanding Officer of any vessel having such passengers on board upon arrival at a port in the United States.
S.S. China, sailing from Yokohama, Aug 7th, 1894 arriving at Port of San Francisco, 20 Aug, 1894.

There is no captain's statement nor captain's name attached to this manifest.
The following columns had identical entries for all passengers and so were 
not included in the table:

 Final Destination in the US=San Francisco 
 Whether having a ticket to final destination=yes 
 By whom was passage paid?=himself 
 Whether in Possession of Money-if less than $30, how much?=yes 
 Whether ever in Prison, Almshouse or supported by Charity=no
 Whether a Polygamist=no
 Whether under contract to labor in the US=no
 Condition of Health Mental and Physical=good
 Whether having any deformities=no
In the married or Single column "or Single" has been crossed out , leaving 
 Married .
Letters that are illegible or difficult to interpret are replaced by ?.

4 has been to San Diego once 1891.
8 occupation is "Mrs Chamberlain maid servant."  The passenger's sex is 
  recorded as Male by ditto marks; passage was paid by "Himself" also 
  indicated by ditto marks.  S/he is Going to Join "has a sister in Santa 
  Barbara Fuan Senzawa.
