Schooner Chas Smith

DISTRICT OF NEW YORK – PORT OF NEW YORK
I A H Simpson, Master of the Chas Smith, do solemnly, sincerely, and truly swear that the following List or Manifest, subscribed by me, and now delivered by me to the Collector of the Customs District of New York, is a full and perfect list of all the passengers taken on board of the said Schooner at Hamburg from which port said Schooner has now arrived; and that on said list is truly designated the age, the sex, and the occupation of each of said passengers, the part of the vessel occupied by each during the passage, the country to which each belongs, and also the country of which it is intended by each to become an inhabitant; and that said List or Manifest truly sets forth the number of said passengers who have died on said voyage, and the names and ages of those who died. The use of a ? indicates a word or letters that could not be read, due to
  the quality of original document

Passenger Notes:
 7  Both 7 and 8 had age as 1/2 
20  Both 20 and 21 had age written as 1/2
22  This last name may also be Fuchs, however it was typed as appears on
    manifest
33  Age was written as 3/4 years
34  This is how Quebec spelled throughout manifest
39  The spelling of laborer changed to labourer here
42  The "o" has umlaut
47  The occupation is smudged, most probably stated unmarried
52  Female spelled in this manner
53  Female spelled in this manner
55  Both 55 and 56 occupation spelled in this manner
62  There was a line skipped between passengers 62 and 63, does not appear 
    there was a name entered
65  Age was written as 3/4 years
69  First name may be Joachim and last name may also be Ehmer, writer
    sometimes leaves a tail on his "E"
70  The last name may be Tetgron, Tetyron, Tetzron
