LIST OR MANIFEST OF ALIEN IMMIGRANTS FOR THE COMMISSIONER OF IMMIGRATION.
Required by the regulations of the Secretary of the Treasury of the United States, under Act of Congress, approved March 3, 1893, to be delivered to the Commissioner of Immigration by the Commanding Officer of any vessel having such passengers on board upon arrival at a port in the United States.
S.S. Australia, sailing from Honolulu, July 21, 1894 arriving at Port of San Francisco, July 28, 1894.
Columns represent: Number, Name, Age, Sex, Married or Single, Occupation, Able to Read & Write, Nationality, Last Residence, Final Destination in the US, Whether having a ticket to final destination, Whether in Possession of Money-if less than $30, how much?, Whether ever before in the US, Whether going to join Relative or Friend

Transcriber's Notes
There is no captain's statement nor captain's name attached to this manifest.
The following columns had identical entries for all passengers and so were 
not included in the table:
 Seaport for Landing in the US=San Francisco
 By whom was passage paid?=self
 Whether ever in Prison, Almshouse or supported by Charity=no
 Whether a Polygamist=no
 Whether under contract to labor in the US=no
 Condition of Health Mental and Physical=good
 Whether having any deformities=no
Entries in the Final Destination column have been abbreviated 
 from San Francisco in the interest of space.

1   Hawaiian and Haole (Haole means white) is written above half caste in 
    Nationality.  He has been to San Francisco April.  He is going to join 
    Brother in Law Walter Jarrett Fremont Sutter Co Cal.
3   has been in SF.  She is going to join Parents A. Stark San Francisco.
8-9 Manifests for San Francisco are almost all written with first name first.
    These two may have surname first.
10  Money column says More than $50.
