Passenger List Of The Great Western Steamship Line, S. S. Arragon

DISTRICT OF NEW YORK - PORT OF NEW YORK
I, Geo. Symons, Master of the S. S. Arragon do solemnly, sincerely, and truly swear that the following List or Manifest, subscribed by me, and now delivered by me to the Collector of the Customs of the Collection District of New York, is a full and perfect List of all the Passengers taken on board of the said Steamer at Bristol, Eng. from which Port said Steamer has now arrived; and that on the said List is truly designated the age, the sex, and the occupation of each of the said Passengers, the part of the vessel occupied by each during the passage, the country to which each belongs, and also the country of which it is intended by each to become an inhabitant; and that said List or Manifest truly sets forth the number of said Passengers who have died on said voyage, and the names and ages of those who have died. Sworn to this 16 July 1877, before me (signature cannot be read).
List or Manifest of all the Passengers taken on board the Steamer Arragon whereof Geo. Symons is Master, from Bristol, Eng. burthen * tons.

There were no births or deaths on this passage.

The ship's burthen in tons was not given.

The use of a ? indicates a word or letters that could not be read due to the
 quality of the original document.

The use of a * indicates an omission, or an error made by the original
 recorder. 

 1 - 2  ?li? Smith - The first letter might be a C, A, O, or G. The last
    letter or letters are small.
 3  Alfred Stroud - This passenger is going to Quebec in Canada.
 4  Richard Ba?do? - The missing letters could be n or u.
 6  Samuel Lee, Jun. - The first letter of the occupation appears to be an n,
    but the handwriting is poor on this list and it might be a y. 
 7  Wm. Do?ey - Could be a v, r, or n.
 8  ?a??? Broad - Letters are scrawled. Name might be Samuel.
20  Alfred Green - Under occupation, daughter was written in and crossed out.
26  John C?st?? - The first letter might be i or e, the last two could be a
    vowel and n or r.
