Transcriber's Notes:
This is a City List.
Passenger Notes:
#1 first name probably Gottfried, but could also be Joh. Fried.
#7 the first name Michael crossed out, and maybe a V.
#19-23 surname Schaili or Schaib or Schaih.
#24-25 surname Haris or Harir, or Horis or Horis, with umlaut a or o.
#27 surname looks like Dobh or Dobli.
#31 surname looks like Stahl or Stahb.
#37 occupation unknown, spelled something like Geomiter, maybe Icomiter.
#38 surname could be Teckel or Terkel; can only read part of occupation,
but could be grocer.
#39 middle name could be Moris, but not certain.
#42 first name looks like Saartje or Laartje, but not certain of the
first letter.
#44-51 no first names for any, or gender except for #44, probably the
wife and mother. Ages only for two children.
#52-56 the occupation could be wheelwright, but a smudge there;
possibly the family of #14.
Correspondence added 8-26-2005, passenger CHARLES ADAM
My ancestor Charles Adam, wife, and 3 children immigrated to the U. S.
aboard the Galliot Anna Gesina. Departing Amsterdam and arriving
in Baltimore MD. 12 Nov 1833.
Number 856386.00
He preached in the Lutheran Church, was a Natiave of Wurtemberg, Germany.
About 1836 moved to the State of Ohio where he remained until he died.
He was born about 1796, Hohenhaslach, W. Germany.
Any information or suggestions you might have to help me search his roots
in Germany would be greatly appreciated. Also would like information as
to where I can get a photo of the SS Anna Gesina.
Thanking you in advance.
