LIST OR MANIFEST OF ALIEN IMMIGRANTS FOR THE COMMISSIONER OF IMMIGRATION.
Required by the regulations of the Secretary of the Treasury of the United States, under Act of Congress, approved March 3, 1893, to be delivered to the Commissioner of Immigration by the Commanding Officer of any vessel having such passengers on board upon arrival at a port in the United States.
S.S. Alameda, sailing from Sydney June 10th, 1895 arriving at Port of San Francisco, July 5, 1895.
Columns represent: Number, Name, Age, Sex, Married or Single, Occupation, Nationality, Last Residence, Final Destination in the US, By whom was passage paid?, Whether in Possession of Money-if less than $30, how much?, Whether ever before in the US, Whether going to join Relative or Friend

Transcriber's Notes:
There is no captain's statement nor captain's name attached to this manifest.
The following columns had identical entries for all passengers and so were 
not included in the table:
 Able to Read & Write=yes (except 5-7, 11-12, 25-26, 29-32, all children but 25-26) 
 Seaport for Landing in the US=San Francisco  
 Whether having a ticket to final destination=yes (except 1, 14, 38)
 Whether ever in Prison, Almshouse or supported by Charity=no
 Whether a Polygamist=no
 Whether under contract to labor in the US=no
 Condition of Health Mental and Physical=good
 Whether having any deformities=no 
Letters that are illegible or difficult to interpret are replaced by ?.

Passenger Notes:
1    has no ticket to final destination.  She is going to join Husband Pastime 
     Athletic Club, St Louis.
3-7  are going to join passenger three's Brother Colorado Springs.
8-12 Last Residence is Hughenden, Queensland.  Final Destination is Grand Island,
     Nebraska.  They are going to join Thos McKeown Spring Ranch Nebraska.
13   Last Residence is Tamworth, N.S.W.  He is going to join Father in SF.
14   has no ticket to final destination.  He is going to join Brother, Santa 
     Monica.
15   has been to Cala 1875.
23   There is an umlaut over the "u" in Muller.
24   Last Residence is Franklin St. Melbourne.
26   Last Residence is Riverton, Southland.  He is going to join Sister & Brother 
     Michael Carey, Mrs Rush, Richardson Sacramento.
27   Occupation is Engine Driver.
28   has been to NY 1878.
30-34,36 A fold obscures the beginning of these lines on the film.
34-35 Last Residence is Felding, NZ.
36   has been to Chicago 1893.
38   Occupation is servant to Mrs. Gould.  He has no ticket to final destination 
     and Mrs Gould paid for his passage.
Passengers 5-7, 11-12, 26, 29-32 cannot read and write. 
Passenger 25 can read but not write.
