LIST OR MANIFEST OF ALIEN IMMIGRANTS FOR THE COMMISSIONER OF IMMIGRATION.
Required by the regulations of the Secretary of the Treasury of the United States, under Act of Congress, approved March 3, 1893, to be delivered to the Commissioner of Immigration by the Commanding Officer of any vessel having such passengers on board upon arrival at a port in the United States.
S.S. Alameda, sailing from Sydney March 18th, 1895 arriving at Port of San Francisco, April 11, 1895.

There is no captain's statement nor captain's name attached to this manifest.
The following columns had identical entries for all passengers and so were not 
included in the table:
 Able to Read & Write=yes 
 Seaport for Landing in the US=San Francisco  
 Whether having a ticket to final destination=yes
 By whom was passage paid?=self (except 23)
 Whether ever in Prison, Almshouse or supported by Charity=no
 Whether a Polygamist=no
 Whether under contract to labor in the US=no
 Condition of Health Mental and Physical=good
 Whether having any deformities=no 
Letters that are illegible or difficult to interpret are replaced by ?.

Passenger Notes:
1     has been to Cala 1889.
2     Middle name of Mongomery was left out of the table to save space.
1-2   Last Residence is Geelong, Victoria.
4     is a Master Mariner.  He has been to SF 1873.
5     surname is d'Hallwinn or d'Hallwine.  She is going to join Husband SF.
6     has been to SF 1875.
11    Last Residence is Lancaster Tas (presumably Tasmania).  His Final 
      Destination is Port Huron, Mich.  He has been to SF 1893.  He is going
      home to Canada.
12    has been to New York 1885.
14-19 are going to join Mr Malcolm Erie Penn.  The children are joined by a 
      bracket in the Married or Single column. 
22    surname is Argetono, Argetone, Argeteno, or Argetene.  He is going to 
      join Brother Santa Fe.
23-36 It appears the surnames and first names of this group of passengers are
      written in the reverse order from the others on the list.
23    passage was paid by Mrs Bradley Otahuhukz or Otahuhukg.  He is going to
      join Father Mr David Ross, San Francisco.
25    has been to SF 1890.
26-27 Last Residence is Philadelphia Pa. 
26    has been to Philadelphia 1880.  He is going to join Sister-in-Law.
27    is going to join Miss Maggie Pokue 754 South 19th Street.
28    surname is Bonerman or Borderman.  He has been to San Francisco 1887.
30    Final Destination is Salt Lake City, Utah.  He is going to join Brother
      Charles Olson Salt Lake City.
32-36 "Children of the above Niel and Flora Olsen" is written across the line.
35    fisrt name could be Apsta, Afsta, or Aista, but is probably Agusta.
38    Occupation is Prof of Music.
40    surname is Patarine, Palarine, or Pasarine.
44    Final Destination is Salt Lake City, Utah.
