LIST OR MANIFEST OF ALIEN IMMIGRANTS FOR THE COMMISSIONER OF IMMIGRATION.
Required by the regulations of the Secretary of the Treasury of the United States, under Act of Congress, approved March 3, 1893, to be delivered to the Commissioner of Immigration by the Commanding Officer of any vessel having such passengers on board upon arrival at a port in the United States.
S.S. Alameda, sailing from Sydney Dec 24th, 1894 arriving at Port of San Francisco, Jan 21, 1895.

There is no captain's statement nor captain's name attached to this manifest.
The following columns had identical entries for all passengers and so were not
included in the table:

 Whether having a ticket to final destination=yes
 By whom was passage paid?=self 
 Whether ever in Prison, Almshouse or supported by Charity=no
 Whether a Polygamist=no
 Whether under contract to labor in the US=no
 Condition of Health Mental and Physical=good
 Whether having any deformities=no 
Letters that are illegible or difficult to interpret are replaced by ?.

Passenger Notes:
1 is going to join Step-father Mr Scarles, S.F.
2 There is a note beside this name "left at Auckland."
4 Although No is written in the going to join column, brother is written above it.
5 "Duplicate on page 26" is written below this name with an arrow pointing up.  
  Page 26 is the SS Arawa, sailing from Sydney Nov 26th, arriving at San Francisco 
  Dec 22, 1894.  Albert Domesday is passenger 2 on the Arawa list.
6 surname could be Hallwin or Hallnoin.  His Last Residence is Fitzroy, Victoria.
  He has been to Frisco 1881.  He is going to join Mother Montgomery Avenue Frisco.
7 is going to join brother-in-law George Ludemann Las Vegas.
8 is going to join Parents 819 Broadway St SF.
