LIST OR MANIFEST OF ALIEN IMMIGRANTS FOR THE COMMISSIONER OF IMMIGRATION.
Required by the regulations of the Secretary of the Treasury of the United States, under Act of Congress, approved March 3, 1893, to be delivered to the Commissioner of Immigration by the Commanding Officer of any vessel having such passengers on board upon arrival at a port in the United States.
S.S. Alameda, sailing from Sydney, July 9th, 1894 arriving at Port of San Francisco, Aug 2, 1894.

There is no captain's statement nor captain's name attached to this manifest.
The following columns had identical entries for all passengers and so were 
not included in the table:
 Able to Read & Write=yes
 Seaport for Landing in the US=San Francisco
 Whether having a ticket to final destination=yes(except 8 & 11)
 Whether ever in Prison, Almshouse or supported by Charity=no
 Whether a Polygamist=no
 Whether under contract to labor in the US=no
 Condition of Health Mental and Physical=good
 Whether having any deformities=no
Letters that are illegible or difficult to interpret are replaced by ?.

1  is going to join "mother in Frisco."
2  is going to join "brother in Frisco."
6  Surname is Kinsuy, Kinquy, or, Kniprey.   Last Residence is Nth Carllow, 
    Victoria.  Single is spelled out in the Married column.
7  Last Residence is Stawell, Victoria.  Single is spelled out in the Married
    column.
8  has no ticket to final deatination.  He is going to join Mrs. Moad, sister,
    Elmore, Colorado.
9  Both Stonecutter and Laborer are written in the Occupation column.  He is 
    going to join Antonio Matalovich, uncle 326 Mission S Fco
11 surname is Dand or Daud.  He has no ticket to final destination.
