Partial list - Cabin Passengers only
This is a list of cabin passengers only, that departed
from Oslo, Norway on 26 October 1926. Information from the database
of Sue Swiggum of Solem, Swiggum and Austheim, states that 7 cabin
and 48 third class passengers disembarked at Halifax, Nova Scotia,
3 November 1926. On 5 November 1926, 162 cabin and 280 third class
passengers disembarked at New York.
The 328 third class passengers will be transcribed and added to this
list at a later date.

This passenger list was donated by Karin Knutsen whose father Ragnar
Meyer Knutsen was a passenger. She has provided the following
information:
This was not the first trip my father made from Norway to the US.
Born April 5 1899, Papa's first trip was in 1918 when he went to study
at MIT. He was in Boston for about two years, New York for a little
while, Easton, PA and then Cleveland, OH, where he settled in 1926.
He worked for the Cleveland Railway/Cleveland Transit System from 1926
until he retired at 65. Ragnar Meyer Knutsen died October 2, 1980 in
Cleveland, OH. His parents were Carl Christian Meyer-Knutsen and Elisa
Tobia Andersen Meyer-Knutsen. Their address was Rektor Steensgate 41,
Stavanger. (My cousin still owns the house.)
