Transcriber's Notes:
* The use of an asterisk (*) indicates an omission or error made by the original
recorder not the transcriber or is used to call your attention to additional
information in the transcriber's notes below.
* The use of a ? indicates a word or letters that could not be read, due to quality
of original document.
* Immediately after the name of all spouses and children is written the relationship
to the apparent head of household. I have included it here exactly as it appears
in the manifest.
* In the column entitled "Died on the voyage" there are no marks indicating deaths,
however, there are brackets that apparently designate families traveling together,
along with a number representing the number of people in the family. I have
included the number in the last column in the row of the apparent head of household.
* Another number in the last column of the manifest denotes a running total of the
number of families or parties traveling on the vessel. I did not include that number
on this transcript to save space.
Individual Passenger notes:
7 First name possibly Catherina, age is totally obscured by tear or crease.
9 Two dots over the "r" in Fransersca.
10 Age could be 20 or 21.
24 Last name could be Pauly. Smudge obscurs center portion of last two letters
but the first letter could be l or h and the second letter goes below the
center line.
32 Last name may be Meamer or Mamer.
53 Although the sheet is torn where occupation appears, passenger 53 is probably
a Carpenter.
88 accent mark over the last e in Stribele.
94 accent mark over the last e in Stribele.
110 No first name is recorded for passenger 110.
127 Last name could be Berts or Birts
134 Home town could be Burthouville or Burthonville or Berthouville or Berthonville.
161 last name could be Hols or Heils or Herls.
176 Umlaut over the o in Schonfeldz.
182 First name has crease or tear - probably Margaretha.
206 Last name unreadable but begins with a Du. Appears to be about 7 letters long.
A smudge and discolored tape obscure the surname.
207 Name unreadable, first name has 4 or 5 letters visible, last name about 7
letters. A wild guess on this name would be Henry Jungers or Jungerts.
215 The last two individuals on the list appear to have been written down by a
different person. The home town for passengers 215 and 216 could be Prucia,
or Frucia.
216 Last name could be Asohen, Tsolen, Trolen, Arolen.
