The following columns had identical entries and so were not included in the table: Destination=San Francisco Entries in the Remarks column probably refer to the amount of money the passenger has and the ability to read and write, judging by other lists that have handwritten titles for this column. There is a signature at the bottom of the manifest: Wm G Pitts, Master 2-8 There are letters at the beginning of these names that have been cut off by the film. It is possible that they say Miss. The "ss" is visible for all, letters before the "ss" are visible for passenger 2 & 3 and look like ?iss. 3 Mexican is written in the Remarks column. This may mean the passenger can read and write Spanish. 4 surname may have a final "e." 4-9 There is a bracket joining the names of passengers 4-9. Its meaning is not clear. 5 There is a note referring to passenger 5 on the manifest "A.A. Antecinick 1820 Powell St drug store claims these are his family S & A Rodriguez sisters." The surname for passenger 4 does not have enough loops to be Antisinck. 3-7 There is a another bracket to indicate that the pieces of baggage are for all these passengers. The number has been transcribed for the first passenger listed.
