LIST OR MANIFEST OF ALIEN IMMIGRANTS FOR THE COMMISSIONER OF IMMIGRATION.
Required by the regulations of the Secretary of the Treasury of the United States, under Act of Congress, approved March 3, 1893, to be delivered to the Commissioner of Immigration by the Commanding Officer of any vessel having such passengers on board upon arrival at a port in the United States.
Steamship Oceanic, sailing from Yokohama, Feb 4th, 1894 arriving at Port of San Francisco, Feb 22, 1894.

There is no captain's statement nor captain's name attached to this manifest.
The following columns had identical entries for all passengers and so were not 
included in the table:
 Able to Read & Write=yes (except children # 9-11)
 Whether having a ticket to final destination=yes (except passengers to South 
  America) 
 Seaport for Landing in the US=San Francisco
 Whether in Possession of Money-if less than $30, how much?=yes (except 13)  
 Whether going to join Relative or Friend=No
 Whether ever in Prison, Almshouse or supported by Charity=no
 Whether a Polygamist=no
 Whether under contract to labor in the US=no
 Condition of Health Mental and Physical=good
 Whether having any deformities=no 
Letters that are illegible or difficult to interpret are replaced by ?.

1-11 are enroute to South America and do not have tickets to their final 
      destination.
4    has been "all over America" 1872, 1888.
7    occupation is wife of U Mishimura.
9-11 cannot read and write
12   has been to US 1889-1893 San Francisco.
13   occupation is Mr Folis servant.  "No" is entered in the Whether in 
      Possession of Money column.
14   has been to San Fracisco once 5 years ago.
18   Missing letters in surname could be "imi" or "ein."  He has been to 
      New Orleans 1891.
