DISTRICT OF NEW ORLEANS - PORT OF NEW ORLEANS
There was no notation of the district and port, however this manifest is
filmed with arrivals at the port of New Orleans, and the collector who
signed the sworn statement is the collector for the Port of New Orleans.
I, A H Merryman, Master or Commander of the Ship Ocean Home do solemnly,
sincerely and truly swear, that the within list, signed by me and now
delivered by me to the Collector of this District, contains the
names of all the Passengers, taken on board the said Ship Ocean Home at
the Port of Havre or at any time since, and that all matters therein set
forth are, according to the best of my knowledge and belief, just and true.
I do further swear, that one of the said Passengers have died on the voyage.

There is no Captain's statement
Columns represent: Name of Passenger, Age, Country of Birth, Last Legal Residence,
Country Claiming Allegiance and Occupation and Remarks. The columns for
Last Legal Residence and Country Claiming Allegiance had no entries, so
they have been omitted. Farmers was written at the top of each page
in the Occupation and Remarks column, so it was also omitted.

Transcriber's Notes:
Although the Captain stated that there was a death on the voyage, there
is nothing noted on the manifest as to which passenger died. There is
however what appears to be a cross sign by #182.
The writer of the list sometimes did not use capital letters, these
words are transcribed as written.
4 could be Weibel.
53 The first letter of the given name might be an 'E', the second
letter could be 'l' followed by 2 or 3 small letters.
65 The 3rd and 4th letters could be uncrossed 't's or two "Ls"
89-92 Gttemohn - There is no vowel after the G in this name as written.
135 The age is a fraction, so passenger is under 1 year of age
182-188 could be Kuser
245-252 Ramacker
265 could be Dicken
272 could be Creabitte with the "ts" not crossed
