  3 Have on Deck*
249 Steerage
  1 Cabin

Transcriber's Notes:

* Number of passengers 303
Less the number in cabin 18
  Number in steerage = 285
Less the number of infants = 15
  Steerage over 1 year = 270

* Number of Passengers that landed
  Steerage 266 over 1 year
  Cabin 16 over 1 year

The number of passengers that were on the manifest that was
transcribed (Part I and Part II combined) was 274; it
appears that 29 passengers were not listed on the film
of the original manifest. The cabin count is correct
with 18 passengers and 2 of them being infants,
so we believe that the missing passengers from the
manifest were in steerage. The numbers indicate
that there were 15 infants, but the filmed pages
show only 14. The number of passengers landed
reflects that 4 of the passengers died, however this manifest
(Part I and Part II) showed only 3 passengers who died. See
Part II for further information and review.

The use of an * indicates an omission or error made by the
original recorder not the transcriber or is used to call your
attention to additional information in the Transcriber's
Notes below.

The use of a ? indicates a word or letters that could not be
read due to the quality of the original document. Possible
words or letters are listed in the Transcriber's Notes for
each ? which appears.

Some given names were abbreviated with the last letter
superscripted (raised above the others). I have transcribed
those names by using a ^ to signify the letter was raised or
separated from the name (e.g. Eliz^th or Tho^s)

The "Died on the Voyage" column has been eliminated. One
death was recorded on the voyage, Passenger No. 46, James
Hawkins. The entry reads "Died"

No entries were made in the "Sex" column after the first
page of the manifest. James Cussmin is the final passenger
with an entry in this column

Many of the entries in the "Occupation" column seem
inappropriate, e.g. occupations listed for young children,
babies, and so forth. In many instances, a squiggly
line was used throughout the manifest in the "Occupation"
column and entries were typed as presented on the list
although many seem to be in error. Those entries believed
to be in error are marked with * by the transcriber.
