DISTRICT OF NEW YORK – PORT OF NEW YORK
I, John W. Gillespie, do solemnly, sincerely and truly swear that the following List or Manifest of Passengers, subscribed with my name, and now delivered by me to the Collector of the Customs for the District of New-York, contains, to the best of my knowledge and belief, a just and true account of all the Passengers received on board the Brig Metropolis whereof I am Master, from San Juan del Norte.

Columns represent: Names, Age, Sex, Occupation, The country to which they severally belong, The country in which they intend to become inhabitants.

The original manifest also included a column for "Died on the Voyage", but as 
this column was left blank, I have omitted it.
* Passenger 2:   Wm. is an abbreviation for William.
* Passenger 3:   Chas. is an abbreviation for Charles.
