included in the table:
 Able to Read & Write=yes (except 30)
Seaport for Landing in the US=San Francisco
Whether having a ticket to final destination=yes (except passengers not bound
  for San Francisco)

1-4 marital status is spelled out on the manifest but abbreviated here to match
     the rest of the list.
1 has been to Frisco.
2 has been to New York 1870. She is going to join Brother, Timothy Noonan, San
Francisco. This passenger is almost the same as passenger 27. They were
written on the list by different people.
3 has been to Colorado, possibly 1891. The date is written in the line below,
perhaps to indicate both have been to Colorado in 1891.
4 See passenger 3 entry. This entry appears to have a line drawn through it,
probably because he is not an alien. Passage was paid by father.
5-7 These passengers are listed on one line under the name of the male, followed
by the words wife & child.
10 is going to join Mr J. Anderson Georgetown, Kentucky.
10-11 There are brackets in the Last Residence and Going to Join columns that
suggest these passengers may have been traveling together and joining J Anderson
     (see above).
12 Final Destination is San Francisco New York.
15-17 are going to join Mrs Dewar, Fort Worth. These passengers are listed on one
line under the name of the male, followed by the words wife & child.
18 is going to join Mr Jenkins Parksburg, Penn.
19 has been to the US 1888/1893.
20 has been to the US 1876/93.
21 passage was paid for by Mrs White Granville. Last Residence is Lamceston or
Lainceston. She has no ticket to final destination.
22 Tracy is written after the surname in a different hand. He has been to Phila
1891. If this passsenger's name is Tracy he is very similar to passenger 25.
They were added to the list by different people.
23 has been to N.Y. 1891
24 has been "in SF 1872-1885."
25 has no ticket to final destination. He has been to Philad 1890. He is going
to join Brother, Philada. This passsenger is very similar to passenger 25.
They were added to the list by different people.
26 is going to join Brother in S.F.
27 has been to N.Y. 1862. She is going to join brother in S.F. This passenger is
almost the same as passenger 2. They were written on the list by different
     people.
28 is going to join "Relatives in S.F."
29 Last Residence is Mangawai Auckland. He has been to New York 1873.
30 is able to read but not write. Passage was paid by "husband." Going to Join
     column says "with husband."
31 "Child of the above Albert Margaret Satman" is written across the line.
32 Last Residence is Rotorua Auckland.
32-34, 36 Names are usually written first name first. These names seem to have
been reversed. There are commas after the first name for 32-34, but none
     for 36.
36 is going to join Uncle Mr B Comer 17 Seabrook St San Francisco. There currently
is no street by that name in San Francisco.
37-41 "Father on board" is written in the By Whom was Passage Paid column.
