LIST OR MANIFEST OF ALIEN IMMIGRANTS FOR THE COMMISSIONER OF IMMIGRATION.
Required by the regulations of the Secretary of the Treasury of the United States, under Act of Congress, approved March 3, 1893, to be delivered to the Commissioner of Immigration by the Commanding Officer of any vessel having such passengers on board upon arrival at a port in the United States.

There is no captain's statement nor captain's name attached to this manifest.
The following columns had identical entries for all passengers and so were not 
 included in the table:
 Able to Read & Write=yes (except 6 & 18) 
 Seaport for Landing in the US=San Francisco  
 Whether having a ticket to final destination=yes 
 Whether ever in Prison, Almshouse or supported by Charity=no
 Whether a Polygamist=no
 Whether under contract to labor in the US=no
 Condition of Health Mental and Physical=good
 Whether having any deformities=no 
Letters that are illegible or difficult to interpret are replaced by ?.


1  has been to New York 189? (probably 1890).
6  All names are transcribed as written.  Most have the surname last, but this one 
    could be reversed.  He has been to New Orleans 1889.
8  Initial letter of surname could be "M" or "W."  Last letter looks like "g" but 
    could be 
    "q."  Something is written above the first initial.  It could be Gustavo.
9  has been to New York 1888.
10 First name is quite clear as Rose; sex is recorded as M.  S/he has been to 
   Philada 1888.  S/he is going to join uncle Danl Swane or Dwane, Philad.
13 is going to join Foy Fores, Buena Vista Ave, Alameda
14-15 Surname is Canfield or Caufield  The names of these two passengers are 
      circled with a note "Did not Join."  passenger 14 is going to join 
      brother-in-law A.C Ca?field Pittsburg.  This entry may include passenger 15 
      as well.  
16-17 are going to join Daughter Mrs Neagle 915 Harrison St.
17 passage was paid by ? (probably Mrs.) Taff?? 
18 has been to New York 1864 and SJ 1886.  He is going to join brother A Phillips 
      502 Market St Stockton.
19 has been to US 1891.  She? is going to join Mrs. McCarthy Chicago.
