SS Mariposa
LIST OR MANIFEST OF ALIEN IMMIGRANTS FOR THE COMMISSIONER OF IMMIGRATION.
Required by the regulations of the Secretary of the Treasury of the United States, under Act of Congress, approved March 3, 1893, to be delivered to the Commissioner of Immigration by the Commanding Officer of any vessel having such passengers on board upon arrival at a port in the United States.

There is no captain's statement nor captain's name attached to this manifest.
The following columns had identical entries for all passengers and so were
not included in the table:

Whether a Polygamist=no
Whether under contract to labor in the US=no
Condition of Health Mental and Physical=good
Whether having any deformities=no
Letters that are illegible or difficult to interpret are replaced by ?.
2 passage was paid by and he is going to join Jack (or J) Gravert or
Granert 1500 or 1520 Kentucky St SF who is described as his cousin in
the final column.
6 is going to join Sister Mrs Kelly 324 E 54 St NY
7 is going to join Sister, Indiana
9 The "L" in the money column refers to pounds sterling. She is going to
join Sister and Brother in Ohio
12 This page was completed by a different person and S & M were used in the
Married or Single column.
16 There is what appears to be a name written above the N Liverpl:
?h?o?seayer Initial letter could be J or T, third letter possibly r or
n, 5th might be p.
17 A line is drawn through this entry and arrested at Auck is written in.
Final destination includes the name Thomas P S
19 Watson is crossed out as surname. She is going to join Cousin M Davis,
San Francisco
20 surname is clearly spelled with "a" as the first vowel and a single "r."
The surname of the person who paid for passage is written with "e" as
the first vowel and two "r"s.
21 is going to join Brother Jose de Bambra not sure of address (preceeding
is transcribed as written). The name of the passenger begins with a
"C" and the name of the brother clearly begins with "B."
22 is going to join family.
