DISTRICT OF NEW YORK - PORT OF NEW YORK
I, J. Castoff, do solemnly, sincerely and truly swear that the following List or Manifest, subscribed with my name, and now delivered by me to the Collector of the Customs for the Duties of New York, contains, to the best of my knowledge and belief, a just and true account of all the passengers received on board the said Ship Louis Philippe whereof I am Master, from Havre
Sworn to this 2 Janry 1843 M. L. ???? (signature difficult to decipher) before me, J Castoff
List or Manifest of all the Passengers taken on board the Louis Philippe whereof J. Castoff is Master, from Havre burthen 794-32/95 tons.
Columns represent: Passenger number, Name, Age, Gender,the Country to which they severally belong, the Country in which they intend to become inhabitants, Occupations. The column for country of intended citizenship has been omitted in this list because all have declared that to be the United States, and the column for occupation has been omitted becasue #1 - 48 are all listed as Farmers. Passengers # 49 - 52 are listed as travelling in cabin, presumably all others were steerage.

#49        Occupation listed as Clergyman.
#51        Occupation listed as Merchant
