Transcriber's Notes:
* Though the statement was filled out stating the ship
was from Liverpool, the manifest itself mentions Londonderry.
* The captain or the person writing the manifest noted that
there were 142 passengers, but only 141 were listed, though
the list has been recounted several times.
There is a possibility that 2 of the passengers were counted twice.
There are 2 Neal McFaddens, age 21, at #119 and #125,
and 2 Mary Quinns, age 20, at #109 and #111.
#3-6 surname possibly Matthew or Mathers or Matheny but not certain of
last few letters.
#7 first name abbreviation possibly for Lawrence or James or Samuel.
#12 surname seems to be spelled Lausen or Lansen or Larsen or Lanten,
but cannot be certain of last 4 or 5 letters.
#14 first name could be Anne.
#15 surname looks like Bentay or Beulay, but there is a Barclay later in
the list, so perhaps it could be that.
#16 first name probably Erasmus, but last few letters are not clearly written.
#18 surname could be Boyle, or perhaps Boyce.
#20 possibly first name begins with W, perhaps one more letter, so could be
Wm. but not at all certain.
#23 gender not recorded.
#32 surname is overwritten, so cannot be certain, though a guess would
be O'Connell.
#41-48 perhaps the name is McFarlan, incorrectly spelled. All of this group
was marked ditto for female and child, though obviously some of
them are not either.
#42 the first name is a long name, so could be Alexander, but not certain.
#51 marked female on original.
#52-53 surname looks like it is spelled McGeren, so could be something
similar to that, like McGoren or a variation. Age for #52 is partly
cut off.
#55 badly written and a light area on film, something like ??ory or Loony
or Coony, but not certain.
#56-60 could be written Gera or Goren or Given, but not certain.
#57 could be James.
#61 first name abbreviation possibly for Lawrence or James or Samuel.
#62 surname could be Hammond; no gender or occupation recorded.
#63 surname possibly Farlan or Fadan; no gender or occupation recorded.
#65 surname could be Thornly.
#68 her name looks like Cath. J. Ceasan or Clasan, but not certain.
#72 surname possibly Andrew or Andrews.
#73 surname possibly Dunlop or Dunlon or Donlon; no gender recorded; age could be 20.
#74 surname looks like McGill or White, probably White, the same as next passengers.
#77 first name probably Eliza.
#79 surname looks like Rele, perhaps for Reily.
#81-84 surname could be McNult or McNutt.
#83 first name abbreviation possibly for Lawrence or James or Samuel.
#84 age could be 21 or 24.
#86-90 surname possibly could be Brown or Broun, but letters are
indistinguishable; for #86, first name abbreviation possibly for
Lawrence or Samuel.
#91 surname possibly Kerr, but the K looks like an R.
#92 surname something like Genay or Gruny or Genby or Gurny, but not certain;
age not recorded.
#94 surname could be Burland or Barland or Busland, perhaps.
#97-104 surname spelled something like Aldrea or Coldena or Caldwell, but cannot
read it for certain.
#104 marked male but seems to be female name, unless it should be Christian
or Christopher.
#105 surname could be Harnett or Harnell or Hamell.
#107 surname possibly Porter.
#108 surname could be McGilligan; first name abbreviation possibly for
Lawrence or James or Samuel.
#110 surname could be McCleay or McCleary.
#112 surname probably Smith, but first letter is obscured.
#114 surname very light, but could be Moody or Hood or Mead; not at
all certain.
#115-117 surname could be McBoth or McBeth or McBath; first name for #115 could be
Pat or Jas., but not certain.
