Transcriber's Notes:
* indicates an omission or error on the part of the original recorder.
? indicates letters or words that cannot be read due to the quality of the
original document.
*The column for "country of which they want to become inhabitants" lists some countries, some states, and some cities.
The original recorder used either the abbreviation "id" (for idem) or a
vertical squiggly line down the column to indicate information identical to
the previous entry. I did not indicate which form was used where, but
rather entered the identical information. This is why most women and
children are listed with an occupation identical to their spouse or parent.
In the beginning statement, where it says "I do further swear, that
of the said passengers have died on the voyage", there is clearly nothing
in the blank space. However, two passengers were indicated as having died
during the voyage. No column was included for deaths; "died on the passage"
was written across several columns for the two passengers who died.
* 34 Patrick McNichole died on the passage.
* 112 Mary Wood died on the passage.
39-45 G?ass. The ? could be an 'a' or a 'u'. The upper part of the letter
looks like it is there, which would make it an 'a', but it is obscure.
*56-60 The 'u' in Naun (56-60) is clearly a 'u'. The 'w' in Nawn (62) is
clearly a 'w'. It appears that George Nawn could be a member of the
Naun family, or they could be all be Nawn's, based on their ages, and
the fact that there is only one other passenger separating them on the
list.
* 121 No age listed for David McCullock.
? 131 There could be an 's' at the end of Forsede.
* 197 Mrs. Hamden is clearly "Mrs.". The "id" abbreviation is used in the
sex column for her. In the age column is just a black mark, possibly
indicating a ditto.
* 198 The entry reads "Mr. P.W. Ross and lady of Canada".
* 199 The entry reads "Mr. John Lohmann of St. Petersburg".
