I, H. Urndle do solemnly, sincerely and truely swear that the following List or Manifest of Passengers subscribed by me and now delivered by me to the Collector of Customs for the District of New York, contains to the best of my knowledge and belief, a just and true account of all the Passengers received on board the U.S.M. S.S. Empire City whereof I am Master from Havana. So help me God. H. Urndle Sworn to this 6 December 1852, before me (signatures cannot be read) DEPUTY COLLECTOR.
List of all the Passengers taken on board the USM SS Empire City whereof H. Urndle is Master, from Havana burthen 1754 tons.
Columns Represent: Name, Age (Years/Months), Sex. Occupation, The Country to which they sovenlly belong, The Country in which they intend to become inhabitants, Died on the voyage.

The use of an * indicates an omission or error made by the original
recorder.
The use of a ? indicates a word or letters that could not be read, due
to quality of original document.
There were no deaths on this passage, therefore the death column has
been eliminated.
Passengers #1, 2, 3 show occupation as Mercht. I believe this is
Merchant.
* Passenger #4 could be Margeret. There is no dot above the "i" but it
is also closed.
* Passengers #4, 5, 6, 7, 8 could be Heinandy.
? Passenger #7 could have the first name of Miny, Miuy, Meuy, Meny.
There are two letters, which form a "w" like letter.
