Transcriber's Notes:
The column "The country in which they intend to become inhabitants" shows
U S Territory only on the first line and then through to passenger 93 either
" or small wavy lines indicating that these passengers all intend to become
inhabitants of the U S Territory. This column is blank for the remaining
passengers.
The column "Died on the voyage" has been eliminated because apparently
nobody died during the voyage.
The collector used " marks as well as "do" instead of repeating the country,
the transcriber typed in the complete word instead.
Passenger 6: At the age column it appears that a 3 has been written above the 4,
indicating that his age may have been 31 rather than 41.
Passengers 16-19 and 21-31: They all indicate they are coming from a place called
"He?stat" - the letter in question may be an "m". However, passenger 18
is one of my relatives and he came from Neustadt so I am assuming the
writer may have misunderstood it or they didn't pronouce it clearly.
Passenger 17: I have done some research on this person, his surname was Horr.
Passenger 21: I believe Teder stands for Theodor, as this is commonly used in the
dialect of the region around Neustadt.
Passenger 24: Column indicating sex is blank.
Passenger 34, 46-49, 56, 62, 77, 104: Appears to be male, yet the column indicating
sex shows female - or vice versa.
Passenger 36: His age is given as 19, however, there is a diagonal line through the
number.
Passenger 50: Appears to be male, but mark in the column indicating sex is illegible.
Passenger 62: Name may also be Kachor.
Passenger 64: Letter in question may be a "Z".
Passenger 68: His first name may be Marian.
Passengers 84, 85: The surname could also be Rhau.
Passenger 98-101, 105-107, 109: Mark in the column indicating sex is either simply a
line or a blur.
Passenger 119: The third letter of the first name is most likely an "e".
