James Corscaden*
John Dixon
Londonderry April 1833
Transcriber's Notes:
* James Corscaden was a Londonderry merchant and ship owner/broker.
#2 age could be 20 or 22.
#9 surname possibly Call.
#14 in occupation column was a horizontal line, does not seem to
indicate ditto, as "do" was written elsewhere on list for the
word ditto.
#16-17 same as #14.
#32 residence name spelled something like Drumhure or Drumhurr or
Drumhaire or Drumhuve. Age 22 or 62 perhaps.
#33 surname could be McNulty or McNutt or McNult.
#36 residence something like Boneygel.
#38 first name abbreviation may begin with J. Not sure if it is
male or female.
#40-41 residence spelled something like Brownon or Brounon.
#42-44 surname could be Redin or Keilin or Keilir.
#48 residence could be spelled Fannet or Faunet.
#51 age could be 20 or 26.
#57 surname could be something like McGuily or McGeidy.
#58 age 22 or 32 perhaps.
#59-66 residence spelling probably abbreviations for Newtown Limavady.
#67 surname something like Jey or Joy or Fey or Foy, but uncertain.
Residence probably NT (New Town) Cunningham.
#68-70 same as #59.
#79-83 residence could be spelled Drumslane or Drumslare or Drumslave.
#87-89 residence spelling could be Dunfanaghy or Dunfaunghy perhaps.
#95-99 nothing written in occupation column.
#101 residence possibly written Faboyne.
#108 surname possibly McIdere or McKelere but uncertain.
#116 age 18 or 28.
#117-122 nothing in occupation columns. For residence, uncertain if
it was to be Looley, New Derry for all or if Looley was for the
first 3, and New Derry for the others. But as they are probably
the same family, it was probably Looley, New Derry for all.
#119 first name Margt or Mary.
#135-136 surname something like Blea or Blec or perhaps Rhe.
#135-137 same as #59.
#139-141 three names were crossed off in this area, and others written in.
At #139 was crossed out Charles McDonald, at #140 Peggy Ann Gilmore,
and at #141 Peggy Gray, who was aged 8.
#141 no name was written here after Peggy Gray's name was crossed out.
#143 residence something like Gortnassin or Gortnassey or Gortinessin or similar.
#149-150 no other information for these passengers was recorded.
#152 on original, this passenger was not numbered, to make the list total 151,
after crossing out #141. No renumbering was done on the original.
