I, Norton Alexander do solemnly, sincerely and truly Swear that the following List or Manifest of Passengers, subscribed with my name, and now delivered by me to the Collector of the Customs for the District of New Orleans, contains to the best of my knowledge and belief a just and true account of all the Passengers received on board the British S.S. Costa Rican whereof I am master from Liverpool,Eng. So help me God. (signed) Norton Alexander Sworn to the 10th April 1891. Port Eads, LA of April 10 1891, I hereby certify that the fore going list was this day presented to me by the Master of the Br. (British) S.S. Costa Rican, from Cartagena (Spain) ??? ?? ??? list of the passengers on board said vessel. (signed) James D. Grey, Boarding Officer. Burden 2084 Tons.

* There were no deaths on this passage, therefore the death column 
  has been eliminated.
* First name may start with "C" or an "E". The second letter may be 
  an "i". The 'pno' is quite plain.
* Tax paid on this one passenger was $ 50 there is no decimal point, 
  but I doubt if it was $50. paid, probably 50 cents, ($.50). Cashier's 
  Office stamp shows "paid APR 11 1891 US ????duse, New Orleans, L.A.".
