I, ? Vogelgesang Master of the (????????) Columbia do solemnly, sincerely and truly swear that the List or Manifest, subscribed by me and now delivered by me to the Collector of the Customs of the District of the City of New York, is a full and perfect list of all the Passengers taken on board of the said ?? Columbia at Hamburg and Southampton from which port said vessel has now arrived; and that on said list is truly designated the age, the sex, and the calling of each of said Passengers, the location of the compartment or space on said vessel occupied by each during the passage, the country of citizenship of each, and also the destination intended by each; and that said List or Manifest truly sets forth the number of said passengers who have died on said voyage, and the dates and causes of death and the names and ages of those who died; also of the pieces of baggage of each; also a true statement so far as can be ascertained with reference to the intention of each alien passenger as to a protracted sojourn in this country. So help me God. Sworn to this 11 July 1890, before me John P. G?????

* The use of an * indicates an omission or error made by the original recorder. 
* The use of a ? indicates a work of letters that could not be read, due to 
  quality of the original document.
* The column for Intended Destination of Location has been omitted as all the 
  passengers destinations was the U.S.
* The column for Hailing place or Place of Starting has been omitted as all the 
  passengers hailed or started from Hamburg.
* The column for Date and Cause of Death has been omitted as there were no deaths 
  on this list.
* The column for Transit or Transient has been omitted, however the passengers who 
  have "U.S." in the column for "The Country of Which they are citizens" are the only 
  passengers who have an entry in this column. The word is "citize" and the rest of 
  the page is cut off. It is assumed the full word is citizen.
* The column Location of compartment or space each occupied has the word tweendecks 
  written vertically with a line to the bottom of each page indicating that it applies
  to all passengers.

*485 - The surname could be Schneider and the first name could be Channe.
*497 - The surname could be Duoh???witz. The first name could be Ang or Any.
*499 - The surname could be Jensen. The last letter in the first name "e" is raised 
       and underlined.
*501 - The surname could also be Lauritzen. 
*502 - The surname could be Hansey or Hansen. 
*504 - The surname could be Geis.
*505 - The surname could be H?nsen or R?nsen.
