Brig Canton
I, George Sullis, Master of the Br. Brig Canton do solemnly, sincerely and truly swear that the following List or Manifest, subscribed by me, and now delivered by me to the Collector of the Customs of the Collection District of New-York, is a full and perfect list of all the passengers taken on board of the said vessel at Porto Rico from which port the vessel has now arrived; and that on said list is truly designated the age, the sex, and the occupation of each of said passengers, the part of the vessel occupied by each during the passage, the country to which each belongs, and also the country of which it is intended by each to become an inhabitant; and that the said List or Manifest truly sets forth the number of said passengers who have died on said voyage, and the names and ages of those who died.
So help me God, George Sulis.
Sworn to this 13th June 1862, Before me (illegible)

1 Mr. Albert Parton 30 3 Male Weaver Germany United States Cabin 2 Mrs. Christian Parton 28 5 Female Weaver Germany United States Cabin 3 Miss Annie Smith 40 6 Female Spinster Germany United States Cabin Transcriber's Notes * There were no deaths on this voyage. * Age of each passenger is given in years and months. * Christian names are inserted with a karat, apparently as an afterthought. * The captain's surname is debatable. The initial letter looks very similar to the S in USA and Smith, making the name Sullis; however, it could possibly be an L, making the name Lullis.
