I, Thomas Pickard Heeley, Master of the SS Canada, do
solemnly, sincerely, and truly (blank space) that the following List or Manifest, subscribed
by me, and now delivered by me to the Collector of the Customs of the Collection District of
New York, is a full and perfect List of all the Passengers taken on board of the said
SS Canada at London and Queenstown from which Ports said SS Canada
has now arrived; and that on the said List is truly designated the age, the sex, and the
occupation of each of the said Passengers, the part of the vessel occupied by each during
the passage, the country to which each belongs, and also the country of which it is intended
by each to become an inhabitant; and that said List or Manifest truly sets forth the number
of said Passengers who have died on said voyage, and the names and ages of those who have died.

is written by a different person; the handwriting is not as legible.
* ? represents letters or words that couldn't be read accurately.
* ^ denotes that a letter or letters following this sign were written
as a superscript, i.e., written above and to the right of the
preceeding letters.
* To conserve space, I've eliminated the Death column even though
passenger 728 did die on the voyage as noted below.

Marg^t is usually the shortened form for Margaret.
656 Mr. Che?li? Jones - The first letter in question may be R
and the last letter could be E although there is no loop
to the letter.
659 Thos Melleir? - The name is either Melleirh or Melleirt.
660 through 662 Ridile? - The letter in question may just be
a flourish at the end of the name.
666 and 667 Wallin? - The last letter may be G although there is
no loop to the letter but it does have a lower leg that falls
below the line.
668 Master Jad??on - Neither of the letters in question fall below
or extend high above the line.
671 Rev. ?.A. ?reav?s - The initial for the first name is either
J or T. The surname is either Freaves, Freavis, Treaves,
or Treavis.
674 Mrs. Kl??n - The name is either Klein or Klien.
675 and Infant - The letter I was written in the Age column and
represents Infant.
678 Mr. W^m ??yon - The name is either Hyon or Llyon.
680 through 682 ? - There appears to be tape holding two pages
