I, Thomas Pickard Heeley, Master of the SS Canada, do solemnly, sincerely, and truly (blank space) that the following List or Manifest, subscribed by me, and now delivered by me to the Collector of the Customs of the Collection District of New York, is a full and perfect List of all the Passengers taken on board of the said SS Canada at London and Queenstown from which Ports said SS Canada has now arrived; and that on the said List is truly designated the age, the sex, and the occupation of each of the said Passengers, the part of the vessel occupied by each during the passage, the country to which each belongs, and also the country of which it is intended by each to become an inhabitant; and that said List or Manifest truly sets forth the number of said Passengers who have died on said voyage, and the names and ages of those who have died. To conserve space, I've eliminated the Death column even though
passenger 728 did die on the voyage as noted on Page 3 of this
transcription.

sex is probably supposed to be female.
299 Ede? Andresen - The given name is either Edec or Edeo.
301 T. ?ichmansden - This letter looks similar to the T used in
the first name but it also has a lower starting point, making
it a possible B.
318 and 319 E??enall - The name is either Eunenall or Ewenall.
322 through 327 We???ka?g - The name is either Weinkang, Weinkaug,
Wenikang, Wenikaug, Weisskang, or Weisskaug.
343 Mathias Rin?ka - It appears the ink has smeared, making it
impossible to accurately read this letter. It does look like
it extends higher above the line than the preceeding letters
but it may just be a stray mark on the page.
345 and 346 S?erke - The name is either Saerke or Soerke.
347 Wilhelm Bre?? - The name is either Brebo, Bredo, Brebe, or Brede.

If you find an ancestor on a ship on ISTG and would like to link to your email address or home page, please submit a short paragraph about the passenger, where settled, children, etc., with the name of the ship and date of arrival, and send to the transcriber at the bottom of the manifest or to the ISTG Production Coordinator.
We strive to make your search productive. If you don't find the passenger list you are looking
for on our site, please consider a subscription to Ancestry.com. There, you can locate your
ancestors ship, passenger list, view and save a copy of the original list. You can also access
census data and death records to help you in your search. Census records, and in particular
the 1930 census, is one of the most easily used tools for beginners and seasoned genealogists alike.
Ancestry.com is the only place where all census years are easily searchable.
