I, A.J. Griffin Master of the SS Belgenland, do solemnly, sincerely and
truly swear that the following List or Manifest, subscribed by me, and now
delivered by me to the Collector of the Customs of the Collection District of
the City of New York, is a full and perfect list of all the passengers taken
on board the said vessel at Antwerp from which port said vessel has now
arrived, and that on said list is truly designated the age, the sex, and the
calling of each of said passengers, the location of the compartment or space
occupied by each during the passage, the country of citizenship of each, and
also the destination or location intended by each and that said List or
Manifest truly sets forth the number of said passengers who have died on said
voyage, and the dates and causes of death, and the names and ages of those
who died; also of the pieces of baggage of each: also a true statement, so
far as it can be ascertained, with reference to the intention of each alien
passenger as to a protracted sojourn in this country. So help me God.
Sworn to this 31 May 1883, before me (signatures cannot be read).

Columns represent: Name,Age,Sex,Occupation,Country to which they severally
belong, Country of which they intend to become inhabitants. The columns for
space occupied and number of baggage were faded out almost completely, there
were no deaths on this voyage.

These five family members were found on this ship. They all settled, lived and died in St. Paul, MN.
Josef Schroeder died 14 January 1918 and Anna Schroeder, his wife, died 25 January 1916. Sabina
Schroeder, a daughter, married John Neubauer on 22 May 1894 and lived until 26 August 1930.
Missing from this journey is a son, Wilhelm Schroeder, who also came to St. Paul where he
married Wilhelmina Oswald on 14 April 1890. Wilhelmina died 7 months later in November of 1890.
Wilhelm died in February 1893 a little more that 2 years after his wife. Arriving with the Schroeder family
was #44 Elenora Schlorhaufer, who came from the small village of Hirschbergen, Bohemia-Bohemian Forest,
District of Krummau. She married Stephan Lenz (Lentsch) from Petersdorf, Hungary on 18 November 1891
