here to make the transcriber's notes easier to follow.
* Spelling of home towns is left as found on the manifest, even though some are
apparently misspelled.

9 Accent mark after the e in Tharne.
11 Age is written as 1 1/2 years.
13 Accent mark after the e in Tharne.
15 Accent mark after the e in Tharne.
22 Surname "Berker" is denoted by ditto marks, possibly incorrect. If this is the
child of passengers 20 and 21, surname may be Schoenhafen.
31 Age is written as 3/12.
41 Tilde mark over the u in Muller.
44 Letter could be u or a. Steinback or Steinbuck.
51 Age is written as 4 1/2.
55 First letter could be P or S, Third letter b or d. This makes the name Sadeler,
Sabeler, Padeler, or Pabeler.
56 Last name is clearly spelled Terrness however, his apparent son, passenger 58,
has similar surname but clearly spelled differently.
58 Last name could be Terness or Terriess.
61 Last name could be Faber or Taber.
71 Third letter of surname is smudged. Possibly an s making surname Hesets. There
are no marks below the line and it is a consonant.
83 Accent mark over the U in Muller.
84 Accent mark over the e in Gauche.
89 Age is written as 1/2.

EIFEL-Area, near Daun, Kreis Vulkaneifel (Daun), Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany.
Glaadt is now a part of town Juenkerath.
