DISTRICT OF NEW YORK - PORT OF NEW YORK
I, ?sw? Mundy *, master of the Steamship Alaska do solemnly, sincerely, and truly affirm that the following List or Manifest, subscribed by me, and now delivered by me to the Collector of Customs of the Collection District of the City of New York, is a full and perfect list of all the passengers taken on board said vessel at Lpool and Queenstown from which port said vessel has now arrived; and that on said list is truly designated the age, the sex, and the calling of each of said passengers, the location of the compartment or space occupied by each during passage, the country of citizenship of each, and also the destination or location intended by each; and that said List or manifest truly sets forth the number of passengers who have died on said voyage, and the dates and causes of death, and the names and ages of those who have died; also the pieces of luggage of each; and also a true statement so far as can be ascertained, with reference to the intention of each alien passenger as to protracted sojourn in this country.

Most likely the captain is George Siddons Murray as he was the captain on other
voyages of this vessel.

Sworn statement and numerous names/columns not readable; very poor film.
Sworn statement taken from a comparable ship Liverpool to New York.

Last column, "projected Sojourn", shows only ditto marks for this section
of list.
