LIST OR MANIFEST OF ALIEN IMMIGRANTS FOR THE COMMISSIONER OF IMMIGRATION.
Required by the regulations of the Secretary of the Treasury of the United States, under Act of Congress, approved March 3, 1893, to be delivered to the Commissioner of Immigration by the Commanding Officer of any vessel having such passengers on board upon arrival at a port in the United States.

Transcriber's Notes
There is no captain's statement nor captain's name attached to this manifest.
The first two pages of the manifest, those listing passengers from Sydney, have
only the year entered of the arrival date. Only the last page, from Auckland,
gives the arrival date.
The following columns had identical entries for all passengers and so were not
included in the table:

Whether ever in Prison, Almshouse or supported by Charity=no

There are three pages of this manifest. Pages 1-2 have first name listed first,
as do most manifests on this film. Page 3 appears to have some names listed this
way and others the reverse.
Letters that are illegible or difficult to interpret are replaced by ?.
2 has been to Frisco 1886.
3 missing letters could be "in', "m" or "iri." She has been to Boston 1891.
4 has been to Boston 1891.
6-7 have been to Frisco.
1-7 Marital status is spelled out for these passengers.
9 occupation is a sheep station overseer.
10 There is a word Y?ss written before NSW in Last Residence.
12 is going to join C. Maas Chicago.
13 has been to Chicago 1882/3 and New York 1888.
14 is going to join H. Smont Toronto, Can.
16 is going to join Brother, St Louis.
17 has been to Cala 1890/3. He is going to join Father, Los Gatos, Cala.
20 has been to New York 1893.
21 is going to join Parents.
22-36 Most names on this film and this manifest are written first name first.
These names appear to be written surname first.
22 has been to New York 1889.
23-24 final destination is Portland, Oregon.
26 has been to Calif 1886.
28-33 Children of Saml & Margaret Smith is written across the list.
34 is going to join sister, 694 Dean, Brooklyn.
37 is unable to read and write.
37-38 "yes sister Miss Christensen" is written in the Ever Before in US column.
39 "Brother C Frathe? Scranton" is written in the Ever Before in US column. The
name looks more like Frathew in the Name column and Frathen in the Ever
Before column.
40 has been to Ill in 82.
41 is going to join cousin M J Roper, Kamloops.
42 "Father Rev ? Martin Los Gatos" is crossed out in the Going to Join column.
"Going through" is written beside this; it is not clear which passenger it
refers to.
44 is going to join Uncle and Aunt, Chicago.
45 first name is missing.
