RMS Abyssinia
I, Wm. H. F. P. Hains Master of the RMS Abyssinia do solemnly, sincerely and truly (blank space not filled in) that the following List or Manifest, subscribed by me, and now delivered by me to the Collector of the Customs of the Collections District of New York is a full and perfect List of all the Passengers taken on board of the said RMS Abyssinia at Liverpool & Queenstown from which Port said RMS Abyssinia has now arrived; and that on the said List is truly designated the age, the sex, and the occupation of each of the said Passengers, the part of the vessel occupied by each during the passage, the country to which each belongs, and also the country of which it it intended by each to become an inhabitant, and that said List or Manifest truly sets forth the number of said Passengers who have died on this voyage, and the names and ages of those who have died. So help me God.

The B is the only letter I am certain of. * I could not decipher the surname of passenger 83, but the "Gi" is clear at the beginning as well as the "am" at the end. Third letter looks like all the other "b"s in this record, but fourth letter looks like a crooked "x", so name appears to be "Gibxam".
