Transcriber's Notes:

*1 This column reads, "Total number of superficial feet in the several compartments set apart for passengers, other than Cabin Passengers." Under that heading is written a tick mark.
*2 This column reads, "Total number of Adult Passengers, exclusive of Master, Crew and Cabin Passengers which the vessel can legally carry."
* The "Columns represent..." statement was not in the original document.
* In the original manifest, immediately following the Railway Order column, there is a column for "Amount of Cash - To be filled in by Immigration Agent at Port of Landing.". As this column was left blank, I have omitted it. I have also omitted the columns for "Births at Sea." and "Deaths at Sea." for the same reason.

Re Steerage Passengers:

* Passenger 1: his occupation is probably an abbreviation for 'general labourer'.
* Passenger 5: to the left of her name is stamped, "GOING TO HUSBAND". "Housewife" is written below her given occupation.
* Passenger 10: to the left of her name is stamped, "GOING TO HUSBAND". "GEN. LAB." is stamped over her given occupation.
* Passenger 12: over his given occupation is written, "FAR. LAB." This likely means 'farm labourer'.
* Passenger 14: over his given occupation is stamped, "GEN. LAB."
* Passenger 15: over her entries for her given age, Counties in British Isles..., and destination is stamped, "RET'D. CANADIAN". The "RC" under the Nation of birth column is handwritten and means 'returned Canadian'.
* Passenger 22: immediately over the passenger number is written, "??tsley High Constable jail". Then there is a "DEPORTED" stamp betwen the Age and Marital status columns stamped on the manifest.
* Passenger 23: immediately over the passenger number is written, "??perncut High Constable . Straight to jail". Then there is a "DEPORTED" stamp betwen the Age and Marital status columns.
* Passenger 24: there is a "RET'D CANADIAN" stamp between the Age and Marital status columns. Over the entries for Nation of Birth...and Counties in British Isles... is written "RC" for 'returned Canadian'and in the Destination column "RET'D. CANADIAN" is stamped over Ottawa.
* Passenger 25: after the entry for "Number of Railway Order" is a note that probably reads, "bill father".

Re Second Cabin Passengers:

* Passengers 26, 27, & 28: "British Bonus Allowed" is stamped between the Age and Marital status columns.
* Passenger 29: over her given occupation is written (in another hand), "tailor". This is likely her husband's occupation.
* Passenger 32: "GOING TO HUSBAND" is stamped between the Age and Marital status columns. Over her given occupation is stamped, "CLERK". This is likely her husband's occupation.
* Passenger 34: I think the words "to marry" are written over her age. "FARMER" is stamped over her given occupation and Country of birth entries. Desination, "Ass.", for District of Assiniboia East, is now Saskatchewan.
* Passengers 35 & 36: Desination, "Ass.", for District of Assiniboia East, is now Saskatchewan.
* Passengers 37 & 38: there are "RET'D CANADIAN" stamps between the Age and Marital status columns. Number 37's desination, "Grenfel Ass.", was likely Grenfell, District of Assiniboia East, which is now Grenfell, Saskatchewan.
* Passenger 39: her first name is partially obscured by a "British Bonus Allowed" stamp, so it may not be Mary. The words, "TO FRIENDS & RELATIVES" is also stamped in this passenger's row.
* Passenger 40: "GOING TO HUSBAND" is stamped between the Age and Marital status columns. "CLERK" is stamped over her housewife occupation. That is likely her husband's occupation.
* Passengers 43 & 44: much of their information is obscured by what appears to be the words (hand- written), "To be Married". I cannot make out either of their ages or #43's occupation.
* Passenger 46: "GOING TO HUSBAND" is stamped between the Age and Marital status columns and obsures the age entry, however, it looks like 23.
* Passenger 47: "GOING TO HUSBAND" is stamped between the Age and Marital status columns.
* Passengers 50 to 53: "British Bonus Allowed" is stamped between the Age and Marital status columns. Over #50's occupation is stamped, "TO FRIENDS & RELATIVES" and "FAR. LAB." is stamped near all of the occupation entries. This is probably the husband's occupation. "Ass." was the abbreviation for District of Assiniboia East, which is now in Saskatchewan.
* Passenger 55: "RET'D CANADIAN" is stamped between the Age and Marital status column.
* Passenger 56: "TO FRIENDS & RELATIVES" is stamped over her age and the county entry.
* Passenger 59: words that appear to be "To Father" are written over his age.

Re Cabin Passengers: no ages or first names are given. I assume the "A" under age is for "adult".

* Passenger 73: the destination, "Quebec", is crossed out.
