Transcriber's Notes:
*Masters' name is Coles although the 's' on the end is written with a tail and
looks like a 'z'. He consistently writes the last 's' in this manner.
*burthen after Two Hundred Thirty-six tons is an illegible fraction.
elminiated death column although one person died 5 days after leaving,
see notes for passenter #20
*passenger 3 possibly Ferris all of the 's' are written with a tail as 'z'
*passenger 6 surname illegible I THINK it is a G the K is clear follwed by what
might be an 'in' or 'iu'
*passenger 20, a 6 year old girl, died '5 days out'.
*passenger 34 first name appears to be abbreviated, no abbreviations used
before this name. Could be Mich. for Michael, after Mich. there appears to be
a superscript 'l'.Last name is Morris - the last letter is an 's' with a tale.
Age is on a break in the page could be 24 or 29 or even 21.
*passenger 39 another Michael, I think, the superscript 'l' is clearer, the last
letter in Mick is clearly a k.
*passenger 40 middle initial might be an M and remote possibility it is McKeown
*passenger 46 E is clear T is clear rest is very difficult no tall letters nor none
below the line. 2nd letter is probably an 'n' or a 'u'
*passenger 49 difficult to read last name his 'n's tend to look like 2 u's. He has
been linking together the names of passengers I presume who are travelling
together. Usually the names are same so it is fairly obvious, in this case
the names are different. This passenger is linked to # 48 Walker.
*passenger 57 My guess would be that he is trying to abbrevate Elizabeth although
he is not into abbreviations.
*passenger 69 & 70 Impossible to tell a 'u' from an 'n' Name could be Caufield
or Canfield - these two children are linked together - but not linked to anyone
else.
*passenger 72 missing letters are probably 'n' Kiernan
*passenger 73 Michal clearly written
*passenger 74 probably Bridget but last letter looks like an ordinary s but he writes
his 's' at the end of a word as a 'z' and this does not have a tail
*passengers 81 - 90 - copy is too poor anything I put would be a guess. 81 is a
guess and might be Foster.
