Ship Timandra
I, H. Mowett*, Master of The Ship Timandra do solemnly, sincerely, and truly swear that the following List or Manifest, subscribed by me, and now delivered by me to the Collector of the Customs of the Port of Tacoma, is a full and perfect list of all the passengers taken on board the said vessel at Yokohama, from which port said vessel has now arrived; and that on said list is truly designated the age, sex, calling, country of citizenship, native country, intended destination or location, number of pieces of baggage, location of compartment or space occupied, and date and cause of death of passengers, as required by the "Passenger Act of 1882;" also a true statement, so far as it can be ascertained, with reference to the intention of each alien passenger as to a protracted sojourn in this country. So help me God. (Signed) H. Mowatt*, Master. Sworn to this 13th Oct. 1892, before me. (Signed) L. P. Berry, D. Collector.

1 Lucina H. Lalabel 3 6 Female France France Tacoma Visitors 2 Kate Lalabel 28 Female France France Tacoma Visitors 3 Lucie Lalabel 11 6 Male Teacher France France Tacoma Visitors 4 Kennet Murdock 32 Male Teacher France France Tacoma Visitors Transcriber's Notes: *The captain's name is listed as "Mowett" on the form, but appears to be "Mowatt" as he signed it. The column regarding number of pieces of baggage was eliminated. The lister had bracketed all the names and written "30". The column "location of compartment or space occupied" was eliminated as there were no entries. The column "Date & Cause of Death" was also eliminated as there were no entries in this column. #3 The given name appears to be female yet the persons is clearly listed as Male. Further, this person is 11 years, 6 months old and is listed as a Teacher. An erroneous entry? Is he really "Lucien" and was the teacher the person ahead on the list-Kate Lalabel?
